certainly

certainly
Certainly и of course очень близки по значению, но of course, как правило, ставится в начале или конце предложения, в то время как certainly обычно стоит перед смысловым глаголом и после глагола to be:

The film is certainly worth seeing —

He will certainly not forget to bring the book —

Surely, you are not going out in this rain —

May he come tomorrow? — Certainly! —

(3). See can, v (2). (4). See definitely, adv. (5). See surely, adv (1).
